THIS IS FOR THE WEEKEND SHIFT - FRIDAY, SATURDAY AND SUNDAY. 5:00 A.M.-5:30 P.M.

 

PURPOSE OF POSITION

Responsible for performing daily cycle counts as scheduled.  This includes monitoring raw materials inventory, production status, finished goods inventory and product shipments to ensure the accuracy of the inventory in the BPCS system, therefore establishing timely, efficient and cost efficient delivery of product to the customer.

 

PRINCIPAL DUTIES

 

  1. Organize, allocate the resources of and give technical direction to the Shipping and Receiving Dept. with regard to warehouse organization and maintenance.
  2. Be able to perform as back up to the Receiving and Shipping Managers.
  3. Coordinate all efforts with regard to inventory control systems (perpetual inventor).
  4. Coordinate the performance of plant physical inventories.
  5. Perform other duties as required by supervisor.

 

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

 

  1. High school diploma or equivalent.
  2. Minimum of 3 years’ experience in warehouse environment.
  3. Familiarity with high volume shipping and receiving techniques.
  4. Well-organized and detail-oriented; able to work independently.
  5. Computer literate in both personal computers and mainframe interface.
  6. Proficiency using Microsoft Word and Excel applications.

 

DECISIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Administer the division inventory control system.
  2. Direct the efforts of the Receiving Department and Shipping Department with regard to plant warehouse management. 
  3. Review and insure that inventory cycle counting adjustments are performed.

 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

 

  1. Must be able to sit at a desk for extended periods of time.
  2. Must be able to accurately key in items on a computer for extended periods of time.

 

WORKING CONDITIONS

 

  1. Must be able to work in a manufacturing warehouse environment of up to 500,000 square feet.
  2. Must be able to work in noisy, dusty areas to include moving in and around closely spaced pallets and other work products.
  3. Must be able to withstand both hot and cold atmospheres depending on weather conditions working without temperature control; may be for extended periods of time.
  4. Must comply with safety precautions and wear appropriate PPE when required.
  5. Must adhere to company safety regulations in all areas of the facility.
