Conducts systems analysis research, develop design specifications, coding, testing, debugging, and documenting activities for improving or enhancing AAF’s core business software applications. Participates in Technology and IT-related projects in order to support the overall AAF business strategy. Works with the R&D and sales team to develop software application designs in order to support the Technology R&D business cases. Work and coordinate 3rd party software programmers to comply with AAF product and business requirements. Provides ongoing technical support to any R&D technology software and sensor platform.

  • Provide all service related to programming experiences (research, design, gathering requirements, working with business units, developing programs, testing, documentation, production support).
  • Coordinate meetings with AAF stakeholders to capture the business cases and sales demands in order to create programming specifications directed at instituting innovative new business solutions.
  • Participates in project teams and apply analytical and programming experiences in order to achieve the project goal’s ROI (Return on Investment).
  • Understand business processes, vision and strategies within the operating purview of AAF.
  • Performs proper code management/documentation techniques required by AAF.
  • Work directly with end users to fix identified bugs in the developed application(s).
  • Track all development work/process in AAF data management platform.
  • Provide application support as needed for the on-going operation and maintenance of AAF’s tecnology application systems.
  • Manage projects to schedule following systems development methodology; accountable for efficient and maintainable results that meets business requirements.
  • Assists with the writing of or revision to program documentation, operations documentation, user guides and training manuals.
  • May be required to document training requirements and/or perform AAF or external clients training based on new applications or enhancements development rollouts.
  • Train and provide training documentation for AAF employees and external partners on AAF’s technology applications as needed.
  • Provide suggestions and feedback to fellow coworkers and management on system enhancements or process improvements (including internal customized applications).
  • Serve as a technical point of contact for vendor relationships.
  • Reports status of projects and assignments to management on a regular basis.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.
  • Familiarity with fundamental design patterns applied to software architecture (scrum, waterfall, etc)
  • Experience with one or more specific IoT / embedded / M2M industry
  • Experience re-engineering existing custom software
  • College degree in IS or equivalent experience required.
  • Extensive (at least 3 years) experience with PHP, Javascript, Angular and MVC development.

    Experience with Azure cloud as well as Apple and/or Google Store hosting

    Experience with Git Hub, SQL Server or MySQL

    Familiar to Autodesk forge platform

    Experience with Figma applications

    Familiar with deployment automation development.
