  1. Develop advanced air filtration concepts into workable design applications in response to marketplace needs through prototyping and testing.
  2. Study and recommend techniques to improve existing products through knowledge of advanced air filtration materials , filter design, and media pleat construction.
  3. Investigate customer complaints and collaborates with manufacturing and customer service departments on problem resolutions.
  4. Monitor testing, design and manufacturing processes of specific projects to ensure compliance with customer specifications and all governmental rules and regulations.
  5. Work with operations, quality, and engineering to develop best in class filter designs to increase performance, reduce cost and improve quality.
  6. Implement and manage approved projects within established budgets and schedules.
  7. Keep abreast of new developments, materials or processes for use in adaptations to company products
  8. Provide engineering services to other departments as required.

  10. Conduct technical training/presentations related to products to AAF’s customers/sales/marketing.
  11. May require traveling (up to 25 %)
  12. Perform other duties as assigned.


1) Excellent verbal and written communications skills- sensitive to global and cultural differences

2) Ability to apply principles of engineering, logic, or scientific thinking to a wide variety of intellectual and practical problems.

3) Bachelor's degree (B. S.) from a four-year college or university (Engineering degree required).

4) 3-4 years of work experience in product development or a similar R&D role.

5) Background in Filtration is a plus
