Position Objective:

Installs, maintains, and repairs industrial manufacturing equipment and building utilities.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Maintains, troubleshoots, and repairs equipment or machinery components such as motors, wiring and starters, pneumatic systems, conveyor systems/material handling, cold and hot glue systems, and different types of position sensors using hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring and test instruments.
  2. Will be required to read and understand schematics and component information.
  3. Fabricate and install special function or structural parts such as safety guards, material handling, or equipment upgrades.
  4. Learn to operate equipment or devices to test and maximize their performance
  5. Safely perform duties in a responsible manner in accordance with company policy including maintaining general work area cleanliness.

 

Technical Requirements:

Must be able to understand written and verbal instructions along with basic math skills.  Use commons tools, measuring instruments, read electronic and mechanical gauges, and machine setup devices. Must be able to pass the maintenance evaluation test.

 

Knowledge/Experience:

1 to 4 years of experience in the mechanical or electrical trades. Completion of a recognized program in vocational training for the mechanical or electrical trade may be substituted for maintenance work experience.

 

Special Skills:

Knowledge of use and care of tools used for industrial maintenance including multimeters, drills, saws, drill press, and basic hand tools. Knowledge of mechanical operation and maintenance procedures for building equipment such as motors, pumps, appliances as needed to perform preventative maintenance and repair/replacement of equipment.
